IM001635Why Choose? Windows & Mac, On Mac!

Why Choose? Let The Guru Build You A Dual-Boot “WinMac” System Today!!!

Many of my clients experience anguish over which platform to choose — Macintosh or PC — for their homes and businesses.  To end their anguish, I build them “WinMacs,” specially-configured Apple systems with licensed, fully-functional installed versions of both the Macintosh OSX and Windows 7 operating systems.

At startup time, the user can choose which OS to run — Microsoft Windows for Intuit’s Quickbooks accounting or Autodesk’s AutoCad design software, say, or OSX for safer web surfing with Apple’s Safari, or easy video work with Apple’s iMovie.

Why choose? Let The Computer Guru build you a WinMac today!   Double the utility, double the functionality, and double the fun…for roughly the same price!!!

A Refreshingly Different and Beautiful Machine!

A Refreshingly Different and Beautiful Machine!

I see a lot of machines, believe me.  And after the ten thousandth 15.4″ Dell XPS notebook with Windows 7, 2GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive comes through my door, well, a certain — how would the French put it?  — ennui creeps over me.  So it’s fun to get my hands on a really superior and distinctive piece of machinery now and then.

How about this beauty?  A Toshiba Qosmio with an 18.4″ screen — that’s right!  It’s gigantic and gorgeous.  An Intel Core i7 processor.  Two hard drives — 500GB each — not bad, although I could easily replace them with twin 512GB SSDs, or alternatively, twin traditional 2TB notebook drives.  That’s 4TB internal storage in a notebook — not too shabby!  Maybe I’ll throw Windows 8 on, if I’m feeling adventurous.  Or create a dual-boot Windows/Mac OSX operating environment if I’m feeling really, really adventurous.

With its intense red and black colors, this machine is exciting to look at, extremely well-built, and a pleasure to operate; it’s the desktop replacement to end all desktop replacements.  Real men don’t use 17″ desktop replacements, which is sadly the largest size Qosmio now available from Toshiba.  But I’ve got a private stash, and will begin offering them to discriminating clients…as shipped by the manufacturer, or customized in cool and useful ways.

Call me, write me, e-mail me, text me…

This beast is the spiritual successor to those ancient transportable (luggable?) Compaqs that people used in the stone age when they needed to move machines from place to place:

Another Happy Customer

Another happy Computer Guru customer.  This one happened to be a custom-built liquid-cooled high-performance scientific/technical workstation, which runs both Microsoft Windows and Ubuntu (“Linux”).  But for every one of these, there are a dozen less exotic machines.  Whatever your needs, come see The Guru!
